alphavilleforever.tumblr.com: “over the hills and far away” and “a handful of darkness” were initially supposed to be released on your recent album, but they haven’t. especially the missing of “handful of darkness” made many fans sad. for sure there’s good reason why the songs didn’t make it. would you fill us in?”

marian gold: ”„over the hills“ was meant to be the glorious opener of the album but when we ended songwriting we found that the central theme, the leitmotif, had changed. the majority of the tracks seemed to tell a different story now. „over the hills“, „black hole door“ and „a handful of darkness“ once intended as the three primary columns of the whole production suddenly became leftovers. 
even to me it was a shocking surprise. but in order to produce a coherent version of „giant“ it became unavoidable to cross them off the list. without a shadow of a doubt they will be on our next album in 2012.”

alphavilleforever.tumblr.com: “is there any question that nobody ever asked you in an interview and that you would love to answer? if yes: what question would that be – and what would be the answer?”

marian gold: ”i won’t tell you the question but the answer is 42.”
